1 How I Show Up in Work

I work in bursts and cycles, not steady 9-to-5 streams. When I'm in flow, I can build entire systems in days. When I'm not, I need space to recharge. This isn't laziness — it's how my brain processes complex problems.

I'm brilliant at: seeing patterns, building systems, connecting dots others miss, and turning chaos into structure. I struggle with: routine maintenance, repetitive tasks, and being "on" all the time. If you need someone to show up consistently in the same way every day, that's not me.

The best way to work with me is to give me clear problems to solve, trust my process (even when it looks chaotic), and understand that my capacity varies. When I'm at my best, I can deliver incredible value. When I'm not, pushing me will only make it worse.

Translation: what this means for you

  • I work in cycles, not steady streams. My output varies with my capacity.
  • I'm best at solving complex problems, not maintaining routine tasks.
  • Pushing me when I'm low-capacity will only make things worse.

2 Money, Stress, and Decision Making

Money stress completely changes how my brain works. When I'm in survival mode (bills due, no income, financial pressure), I can't think clearly, I can't make good decisions, and I can't access my creative problem-solving capacity. I'm just trying to survive.

This isn't about being "bad with money" — it's about how financial stress triggers my nervous system into fight-or-flight. When I'm financially stable, I can think strategically. When I'm not, I'm just trying to get through the day without collapsing.

If you're working with me on money-related decisions, understand that financial stress makes everything harder. The best support is helping me create systems and stability, not judging my choices when I'm in survival mode.

Money & capacity

Survival mode

Financial stress = fight-or-flight = no capacity for complex thinking.

Stable mode

Financial stability = nervous system calm = I can think strategically.

The gap

The difference between these modes is neurological, not character.

3 How to Collaborate With Me Without Burning Me Out

What works

Give me clear problems to solve, not vague requests. I work best when I understand the "why" behind what you need.

Trust my process, even when it looks chaotic. I might need to explore before I can build.

Respect my capacity cycles. When I say I'm at capacity, believe me and give me space.

What doesn't work

Micromanaging my process or expecting me to work in ways that don't match my brain.

Pushing me when I'm low-capacity or treating my cycles as a character flaw.

Expecting steady, consistent output when my brain works in bursts and cycles.

4 If You Remember Nothing Else from Module 4

I work in cycles

My output varies with my capacity. I'm brilliant in bursts, not steady streams. This is how my brain works, not a character flaw.

Money stress changes everything

Financial stress triggers my nervous system into survival mode. When I'm financially stable, I can think strategically. When I'm not, I'm just trying to survive.

Trust my process

Give me clear problems to solve, trust my process (even when it looks chaotic), and respect my capacity cycles. That's how you get my best work.

Module 4 Summary

You've seen how I work: my cycles, my capacity patterns, how money stress affects me, and how to collaborate with me effectively. Understanding this is the foundation for working with me without burning me out or underusing me.

Key takeaways

  • I work in bursts and cycles, not steady streams. My output varies with my capacity.
  • Money stress triggers my nervous system into survival mode, making everything harder.
  • The best collaboration is clear problems, trust in my process, and respect for my capacity.
